Message	Beater or not, heads that need decked need decked, period. The gasket isn't able to compensate for that and your new gasket will leak. You will have wasted your time. Usually it's only the heads that aren't true since most heads nowadays are aluminum and don't play as well as the iron does with the heat. When the head is off I'd take it to a local shop and have em check it out.
